Aura's Young Women's Camp 2008
Aura went to Young Women's Camp for the first time this past Summer. She really enjoyed herself. Aura just wasn't in the habit of snapping off pictures. Perhaps next year she will get more photos. However, she did have one piece of really great memory that she left camp with on the last day and it came out a month, almost 5 weeks, later! A splinter from when she was sliding back to sit on the wood stage...

There was some skit-play going on in accordance with their
Young Women's Values:

The young women made dolls for the underprivileged children:

They also had their own flags (still unsure for what purpose - wards??):

The Bishops also came out for an appreciation display:

There were all sorts of things for the girls to do. Aura came home with a few projects for helping her remember her Young Women's Values. She went swimming often. Apparently she won a certificate/award for being a Mudslider... I guess they played volleyball in the mud? She was covered. The shoes she took are ruined - now they are used only for yard work or other grunge work!
All-in-all, she had a
memorable First Year at
Young Women's Camp
2008!
