Been awhile
Yikes... time got away from me.
Much to do, only me to do it all, and not enough hours in the day; nor energy in the body.
A friend sent me her blog, which reminded me that I had not done my own in a little while.
24 more days until summer vacation!!!
Wahoo!
Mother's Day today was nice. We arrived to church late, but that was the only "whoops" we had today. Got some chocolate, got lunch and dinner made/served to me by the older two, got some nice cards, and spent time with my children.
Aura and I are going to be joining the church chorus. We did not stay for practice today because I am developing sinus infection, but we know the song that will be sung and we are practicing it. Now, we are not joining as "hearing" participants, singing.... We are joining as two "deaf" participants, signing the song while the rest of the chorus sings it. I pray that we do well and can coordinate our signs to the beat and tempo of the music/voices.
Will has a father/son campout coming up this Friday and he is looking forward to going to it. I do feel some regret that there is no man in his life for him to call "dad" and have go along with him, but I know in my heart that the good men of the ward will step in and help out. That is a truth that is without fail within Gainesville Ward. They're all awesome!
Kaylee loves her brand new Sunday School teacher. She loves going to class, now, and has actually been teaching the other children and her teacher some signs. Today, Kaylee sat down and actually read a couple words from her book! Granted she knows this book almost by heart, she had the words on one page in exact order, her finger following along under each word! I tell you, I was completely shocked. However, the rest of the book, she needed the pictures to remind her of what was said about that page. Kaylee is upset that she has to repeat preschool next year. I told her teacher that Kaylee is afraid that she will get bored. Her teacher assured me that Kaylee would be challenged this new school year. Thank goodness for that. I may even have to do some teaching here at home after school/work.
My littlest blessing is now hanging on me, so it's time for bedtime stories and getting the older two blessings in their own beds as well.
Take care
